Gary E. Mastin has broad litigation experience in a number of areas such as complex business litigation, employment law, intellectual property, personal injury and premise/products liability.  Mr. Mastin believes in and applies a results oriented approach to the law and legal problems and as such is particularly noted for resolving matters with informal dispute resolution.

Mr. Mastin obtained his B.A. degree in Psychology at the University of California at Los Angeles in 1980, an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1990 and his J.D. from Western New England College School of Law at Springfield, Massachusetts in 1991.

Prior to moving to California in April 2001, Mr. Mastin was a partner with Draymore, Mastin & Goldberg in Massachusetts where he was a senior litigator.  Mr. Mastin is admitted to the Supreme Courts of the United States, California and Massachusetts, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of Federal Claims and the United States District Courts in California and Massachusetts. In addition to his work as an attorney, prior to his move from Massachusetts, Mr. Mastin also was an adjunct professor at Cambridge College in Springfield, Massachusetts where he taught classes in Fundamentals of Business Law to master’s degree candidates. He is a member of the Massachusetts, California, Federal and Orange County Bar Associations.

Mr. Mastin has considerable experience in all phases of litigation where he has represented plaintiffs as well as defendants in both federal and state courts. He has obtained jury awards in excess of 1 million dollars.  Though his practice has largely focused on trial work, he has successfully appealed a lower court’s ruling in G & B Associates, Inc. v. City of Springfield, 39 Mass. App. Ct. 51, 653 N.E. 2d 787 (1995).
